Communication is a big challenge that employees are facing in remote work. There are no face to face conversations, brainstorming sessions and one can longer arrange an in-person meeting. As a result, collaboration is affected and transparency is compromised.

In this episode, Amit Malik, the Chief People, Operations & Customer Services Officer, Aviva Life Insurance India Ltd, talks about "How to keep communication open for remote employees." Amit shares some actionable tips to follow that can help overcome the challenge of open communication, and help in being more engaged and proactive in the remote working structure.

Amit has over 19 years of work experience and prior to joining Aviva, has worked in HR leadership roles at Bank of America, Royal Bank of Scotland, American Express, and GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare.

Amit graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree and is a Management Graduate in Human Resource from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune. He is also an Alumnus of School of Industrial and Labour relations, Cornell University and Said Business School – Oxford University, and a Certified Coach from ICF.

Amit has been recognized both within and outside Aviva for his contributions. Some key awards are Aviva People Living legend award 2017, CHRO of the year 2017 at Culture & diversity Summit, ‘Top 40 HR Leaders’ 2014 in the country by Asia Pacific HR Congress. He has authored several articles on Key HR trends and practices in leading national dailies like Economic Times, Times of India, Financial Express, and has been a speaker at various forums Like National HRD events, CII forum, and Management Institutes amongst others.
